Hike

I was holding Clara and Logan wanted to play catch with the football.  I said, "Don't throw the football because we don't want to hit Clara" Logan replied, "Put it down (meaning Clara) so we can play".  Then he held up his fingers and said, "hurry, five, four, three, two one".

Sneaky, sneaky

We all get a bit worried when Logan goes in the pantry and shuts the door.  One time he shut the door and spread flour and sugar all over the pantry.  Well today Papa opened up the door and asked Logan, "What are you doing?"  Logan had the freezer open with his hand in the Popsicle box and said, "Papa I'm getting something healthy to eat."  He has probably heard the word "healthy" many times from the adults in his life.  He is very smart to put the healthy word in his vocabulary.  I think I'll go and get a healthy Popsicle to eat.

Footballs and popcycles

Logan stayed a week with us and while he was here he said some note worthy things.

I heard him singing early in the morning.  Ring around the rosies popcycle of posies, ashes ashes we all fall down.

Jake was visiting and gathering food and stuff to take back to school.  He grabbed a football and headed out the door.  Logan saw that football and started screaming, "Jake can't have my football, it's my football not Jake's, bring back my football"  He was crying and having such a fit that Papa ran outside and asked Jake to bring back the football.  Then next morning Logan came in our room early and he kept repeating how it was his football not Jakes and he can't take it.  I wondered if he had dreamed about it all night because he surely had to vent about the football.

Teaching moments

This morning Jamie, Shane and Logan were eating oatmeal. Before Shane was finished eating his oatmeal, he got up and reached for a doughnut. Jamie said "Shane, what are you teaching your kid?". Shane dropped the doughnut and then finished his oatmeal. After he was done, he started eating the doughnut and Logan said "Daddy, what are you teachin' me?".

Smile

Logan was walking around holding my make up mirror and looking at his face in the mirror.  He said, "I'm taking a picture of Logan".

Papa please?

This Saturday morning the Whittiers came for a visit.  As they were leaving, Jamie asked if she could borrow a gift bag from me.  I said sure.  Logan turned to Bruce and said, "Can I borrow your truck Papa please"?

He is on his second day of poddy training and we hear things are going great.  I do think that being completely poddy trained comes first before driving a truck.  Sorry Logan.

Simple things

Tonight Logan was looking through the books and he found his goggles.  He jumped up and said,"I found my Army guy goggles".  He put them on his head and was dancing around.
The little flashlight has been his favorite toy the last few weeks.  The only problem---it gets lost-----and thats when the fun begins----there are five adults around here looking for a flashlight.  Logan is usually the one who finds it.
We love you, Logan

Fameening

We had family home evening for the first time last night - I know, parents of the year, but Logan loved it so much that he ran in our room this morning when he wake up and said "Can we have fameening!?!?!"

Then in his meal prayers today he said "bless fameening, oh, and bless fameening".

Guess we should have it more often while he still likes it.
