Nana Nell was at the thrift store with Logan and Clara. We were coming out of the furniture room and walking into the main store. Logan got ahead of me as I was holding Clara. He was in the parking lot running and looking down. I came out of the building and heard yelling. A man sitting on a bench was yelling at Logan to stop. There was a big truck turning the corner going fast that did not see Logan. I looked up and just knew that Logan was going to get hit. The truck came inches away to him and then finally saw Logan. Logan also heard the man yelling at him and slowed down. The truck stopped in the nick of time.
After we all caught our breath I had a talk with Logan explaining parking lot safety. I reminded him to always hold an adults hand in the parking lot. We thanked the man sitting on the bench for warning Logan. The truck driver came up and apologized. Some of the people came out of the store to see what was happening. It was a great blessing that it was only a close call.
